I hope all those reading this had a great time whatever they did and whomever they were with. As I said in my last blog I am grateful for those in my life as I spent my Christmas season with people I love and love me.
In Northampton we popped into a homeless shelter where there are 48 rooms and handed in clothes that my friend had collected, here in Spain we went to ReachOut and gave a food parcel for their kitchen to cook for the homeless in the area. There’s always something that can be done for those who have less.
It makes me think what can I do when back in Singapore, but not only in Singapore but also other places in the world - how can we all we play our part in helping those less fortunate, as well as helping the planet. As I write Sky News is on in the background about plastic and the state of the oceans…
Hopefully 2018 will see some changes to how we use plastic, less water bottles, more recycling, more consideration for what we use on a daily basis. And not just plastic but how we treat each other and animals.
It starts with each of us as individuals and we all can make a difference.
Happy New Year and here’s to 2018 being a year of awareness.
